The European Raw Materials Clustering Event (EURAW) brought together a wide range of stakeholders from across the raw materials sector to engage in meaningful discussions around the current technological challenges, innovative industry solutions, and collaboration opportunities. Under the leadership of Santiago Cuesta López, director of the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) and the ICAMCyL Foundation, EURAW was supported by several key European projects, including MaDiTraCe, S34I and TERRAVISION.
On Wednesday, October 16th, the event kicked off with presentations from a variety of EU-funded projects in the raw materials field, focusing on four core themes: exploration, sustainability, traceability, and processing technologies. These presentations not only showcased the achievements of the projects but also provided a platform to address the future challenges facing the sector.
Thursday, October 17th, featured industry pitches from companies, creating valuable networking opportunities for participants to foster collaboration and share expertise. The event succeeded in facilitating an active exchange of ideas and enhancing cooperation within the raw materials community, setting the stage for future innovation and sustainable progress in Europe.
